Previously we’ve written a guide on how to choose a web host. And obviously, since we wrote it, we did follow all the guidelines. Through our research, we decided to go with Hawk Host. In this review, we are going to write about how we chose Hawk Host, why we did it and all the pros and cons of using their services.
Top 5 Reasons why we chose HawkHost
There are a lot of reasons and factors that come into play in our decision to go with them, but, we are going to list the few most important ones.
1. They are active on WebHostingTalk
It may not seem like a big deal to you at first, but WHT is an active community with hosting providers and hosting users for more than 15 years. Basically, all hosting providers are (and should be) active there, including their owners and sometimes even support teams. People on WHT are honest, experienced and they don’t want to ruin their reputation. The CEO of Hawk Host, among others, is active on WHT under the username TonyB, they frequently post coupons and discounts in the Offers section, so check them out there.
2. They have good 24/7 support
We at FEENTA.com are noobs. Big noobs. We need 24/7 support. One of the main reasons why we chose HawkHost. Their support team is great – they help you with your requests and they do it fast. We receive responses within minutes.
3. They’ve been active since 2004
12+ years of web hosting. They are experienced and since they’ve been in business for that long, they know what they are doing. A new host can have great offers, but I always avoid them since they don’t have any reputation to keep or they wouldn’t care if they went out of business. When you’re active for more than 12 years, a simple negative review would mean a lot to you, since you are here to stay.
4. They guarantee 99.9% uptime and can handle traffic spikes.
I mean, so what? Every host guarantees 99, 100% or whatever amount of uptime. What’s special about Hawk Host was that when we received big traffic spikes, their host could handle them. We didn’t have any downtime at all.
Even when suddenly we got hit with thousands of visitors and pageviews, our host didn’t go down and we had 100% uptime. We weren’t even charged for the extra amount of bandwidth. A random EIG host would overcharge you and your server would probably go down after a small traffic spike.
5. For what they offer, they are cheap
They’re not a random $5/year shared, unreliable hosting provider. Sure, there are extremely cheap hosting providers out there, but how good are they? For what they offer – great services and 24/7 support – they are pretty cheap. Other hosting providers that offer 24/7 support are a lot more expensive then HawkHost. And we used their 25% recurring discount, which made them even cheaper. Probably the cheapest hosting provider with 24/7 support? You can find coupons for HawkHost at WebHostingTalk.
We definitely recommend (as you can clearly see from the review) and vouch for them. If you are looking for a reliable hosting provider with 24/7 support, then go with Hawk Host.
